Mapping Georeferenced Data with KoboToolbox & Google My Maps

This video presents two digital tools that can be used to collect, structure, and visualize georeferenced data. 

• KoboToolbox enables digital field data collection through questionnaires, with responses submitted to the KoboToolbox platform via a mobile app (ODK Collect for Android or iCollect for iPhone). The platform displays collected data on maps and also allows datasets to be downloaded in Excel format. 

• Google My Maps supports the import of structured datasets (for example in Excel format) to create maps with thematic layers and customizable styling. 

Both tools provide effective ways to visually represent data and share results. The video briefly illustrates their purpose, functioning, advantages, and limitations.
